Mounting of the customized top

Stainless steel is a material that is suitable for many things. The worktops are suitable for many purposes, but are mostly used in areas where water resistance and hygiene is a necessity: in the kitchen.

The worktop should never be sanded or polished. Sanding will create scratches. Polishing causes differences in the gloss of the surface.

about the mounting
of Stainless steel?

You can assemble the worktop as follows:

  1. Make sure the kitchen base units are perfectly flat and level it in the areas where this is not the case.
  2. Also check if the worktop is in all places adequately supported. At places where this is not the case make modifications (i.e. by placing wall angels).
  3. In the supporting layer can be screwed. The worktop however should be level otherwise there is a risk of fracture.
  4. Use silicone caulk to seal. Remove silicone remains after installation because they might be difficult to get rid of in a later stage.
  5. If you mount the worktop over a dishwasher, oven or microwave insulate it then from the bottom with a moisture-and-heat resistant foil. Then mount the cover that is supplied with the equipment over it. By assembling it this way an optimum protection is guaranteed.
  6. For mounting a backsplash use a panel and construction adhesive. Make sure the back wall is straight and level. Do not slide the backsplash and make sure the worktop is protected while placing the backsplash.

Our advice

  1. Before mounting check the entire worktop for color, size and possible damage. For the sink check the model, size and possible damage. If something is not correct then do not mount the worktop because the warranty will expire. Please contact the supplier in this case.
  2. Protect the worktop during assembly, for example with a blanket. Do not stand or sit on the worktop.
